LET’S MAKE THINGS CLEAR

Choosing your route9 questions+
Should I choose a redesign or a new website?+
Choose a redesign when your existing website has a useful foundation and needs clearer layouts or content. A new website is a better fit when you are starting out or need a different structure. Share your current URL and priorities; we will recommend a written scope before payment.
Who do you design websites for?+
Therapists, counselors, coaches, private practices, mental health clinics, and wellness centers. We work with practices in the US, UK, Canada, Australia, and beyond.
Can you improve my existing website?+
Yes. A redesign starts by reviewing your current pages, what works, and what needs to change. We agree the scope before payment.
What is included in a redesign?+
The redesign package refreshes up to five pages, with design improvements, mobile layouts, and updates to existing content. We review your current website and agree which pages and changes are included before work begins.
What is included in a website from scratch?+
The new website package covers up to ten pages, a custom visual direction, responsive layouts, an editable content system, and agreed on-page SEO foundations. Your proposal names the platform, pages, and integrations.
When is a custom website the better choice?+
Choose custom when you need a more complex service directory, several practitioners or locations, ecommerce, or specialist integrations. We plan the page structure and quote the full scope after your brief.
Can you work with my existing branding?+
Yes. Share your logo, colours, fonts, and brand guidance in your brief. We can build around an established identity or discuss the extra support needed if the brand needs work.
Can you design for a group practice as well as a solo therapist?+
Yes. Solo websites focus on your own approach and services. Group practices may need team profiles, clearer service navigation, and several inquiry routes; we confirm the right package after reviewing those needs.
Can you help if I do not yet have a website?+
Yes. The website-from-scratch package starts with your practice, goals, and content. We agree the page plan, visual direction, platform, and launch requirements before building.
Templates & setup6 questions+
What is included with a template?+
Each product page lists its proposed pages, platform, and level of support. These products are currently concepts for review; the final files, licence, and delivery details will be confirmed before the catalogue opens.
Can you set up or customize it for me?+
The proposed purchase journey includes template-only, setup, and customization options. Choose the amount of help you need, then review the total before checkout.
Are hosting, domains, and platform plans included?+
Assume they are separate unless the final product or proposal explicitly includes them. Your platform and domain remain in accounts you control.
Can I see a template on mobile before choosing?+
Yes. Each concept includes a live demo with desktop and mobile views, plus sample Home, About, Services, and Contact pages. Check how the navigation, content, and inquiry journey feel before choosing a design.
Can a Squarespace template be used on WordPress or Wix?+
No. A template is built for its stated platform. A similar visual direction on another platform requires a separate build; it is not a direct transfer.
Will the example photographs and text be included?+
Final product contents and image or font licences must be listed before the catalogue launches. The concept previews demonstrate a direction; they do not grant rights to reuse every asset.
Pricing & payment7 questions+
How much will my website cost?+
Website redesign is $599 for up to five pages. A website from scratch is $899 for up to ten pages. Website in a Week is a separate five-page service at $1,997 total. Custom work is quoted after your brief. Your written proposal confirms the scope and any additional costs.
Where do I pay?+
For a website project, agree the written scope and payment schedule first. Use the payment instructions supplied with your actual proposal or invoice. If a payment request is unclear, email contact@therapeiawebdesign.com before paying.
Can I add services later?+
Yes, you can request more help through your project conversation. Any additional work needs an agreed scope and price before it begins.
How many pages are included?+
The current package structure is up to five pages for a redesign and up to ten for a new website. Custom projects are scoped individually. Website in a Week is a separate focused five-page offer.
How is Website in a Week paid for?+
Website in a Week costs $1,997 in total: a $997 deposit and a $1,000 balance. Availability, due dates, scope, and the applicable cancellation or rescheduling terms are confirmed in your written proposal.
Are there ongoing costs after launch?+
Your domain, hosting or platform plan, paid tools, and any agreed care plan may have separate recurring costs. We identify these before the project starts so you can budget beyond the initial build.
What happens if I need an extra page or feature?+
We explain the additional work, price, and effect on timing before you decide. Extra work begins only after its scope is agreed.
Timing & working together11 questions+
Do I need to book a call?+
No. Send your project brief by email. We clarify the requirements, agree your scope and explain the next steps in writing.
What do I need before Website in a Week begins?+
An approved scope, ready content and images, access to the chosen platform, and time to review the work. Your start date is agreed after we confirm readiness.
What if my project needs more than a week?+
We will recommend a standard or custom project schedule. The concentrated build week is for work with a confirmed scope and prepared content.
Do I need to be available every day of the build week?+
You do not need to sit beside us all day. You do need to set aside time for agreed feedback checkpoints, answer questions, and approve the work. We arrange those windows before the week starts.
How do we share feedback and keep track of progress?+
We agree the feedback stages before the project begins. Email keeps your brief, content, questions and approvals together; your handover explains any project tools used.
What happens if my content is not ready?+
We help identify what is missing and agree the next step. A focused build week starts only when the approved scope, content, images, and access are ready.
Will I feel rushed into design decisions?+
We agree the direction and key requirements before the focused build begins. Feedback checkpoints give you a clear way to raise questions and refine the work within the agreed scope.
Can I change my project dates?+
Tell us as early as possible. Rescheduling depends on availability and your agreed project terms; your proposal sets out how date changes and deposits are handled.
What happens before the design stage?+
We gather your project brief, confirm the pages and features, agree the proposal, and prepare content and access. That preparation gives the design stage a clear direction.
Will I see the website before it goes live?+
Yes. You review the agreed pages and provide feedback before launch. The proposal sets the review stages and the revisions included.
What if my project has more complex features?+
We assess the additional content or integrations before setting a schedule. A custom project may be a better fit than the focused Website in a Week offer.
SEO & locations10 questions+
Is SEO included in the website build?+
The build includes the agreed foundations: a logical page structure, descriptive headings and metadata, responsive layouts, and relevant internal links. Ongoing content and local SEO are scoped separately.
Can you guarantee Google rankings?+
No. Search results depend on competition, your content, technical quality, and other signals. We use evidence to set priorities and measure changes over time.
Do you have an office in every city you serve?+
No. The location pages describe areas we can serve remotely. They do not represent local offices.
Will a location page alone make my practice rank?+
No. Useful local pages need accurate details about your real practice and services. We avoid copied city pages and review whether a separate page adds value.
Will my old website URLs be preserved during a redesign?+
We review the current pages before making changes. Useful URLs can stay, and pages that must move need an agreed redirect plan, updated internal links, and checks after launch.
Can you help with Google Business Profile information?+
Local SEO planning can include a review of your published practice name, address or service area, contact information, and website links. Any profile changes need to reflect the real business and the services it provides.
How will we know whether the website is improving?+
We establish a baseline in Search Console and, where configured, analytics. We review relevant queries, impressions, clicks, and inquiry actions over a meaningful period rather than relying on one ranking or one day.
Should online therapy have its own page?+
A separate page can help when it explains a genuinely distinct service: who it is available to, how sessions work, and how to start. Geographic eligibility and professional statements must be approved by your practice.
Can a redesign improve website content as well as appearance?+
Yes. We review the clarity of the existing content and agree the updates included. Larger rewrites or new service content are scoped separately so responsibilities are clear.
Do you work outside the US and UK?+
Yes. Therapeia also works with practices in Canada, Australia, and elsewhere. We confirm language, currency, time-zone, and platform requirements during planning.
Ownership & support8 questions+
Will I be able to edit my website?+
Editing access and a handover are agreed as part of the project. The platform, included guidance, and any ongoing care are set out in your scope.
Can the website connect to my booking system?+
We can plan links or integrations with your chosen system. Compatibility, account access, and any extra work are confirmed before they are included.
Should I send patient details through this form?+
No. This is a website-project enquiry, not a clinical intake form. Please keep patient information in the appropriate systems used by your practice.
What do I receive at handover?+
The agreed website, editing access, and guidance for the platform used. Your scope also identifies who owns the domain and hosting accounts, which subscriptions continue, and what post-launch support is included.
Can you keep my website updated after launch?+
Yes. Website care is a separately agreed service for content changes, platform-specific maintenance, and routine checks. The scope, response times, and schedule are set before the plan begins.
Can I move away from Therapeia later?+
Your proposal should set out account ownership and handover responsibilities. Keep your domain and platform accounts under your control, and review any third-party platform limits before choosing a system.
Will the website work on phones and tablets?+
Responsive layouts are included in website packages. We check navigation, page content, images, and the inquiry route across phone, tablet, and laptop sizes.
Will I receive help learning to edit the website?+
Handover guidance is agreed as part of the project. The focused build-week offer also includes training so you understand the key editing tasks on your chosen platform.
Privacy & accessibility4 questions+
Is every therapist website automatically HIPAA compliant?+
No. Compliance depends on the actual tools, data flows, agreements, and practices involved. We scope the website and integration requirements with you; a marketing website or SSL certificate alone is not a compliance guarantee.
Can you connect my practice management or booking platform?+
We can review a link, embed, or supported integration with your chosen platform. We confirm compatibility, account access, privacy requirements, and costs before adding it to the project.
How do you make the website easier to use?+
We plan clear navigation, readable text, sufficient contrast, responsive layouts, labelled form fields, and keyboard access. The required accessibility standard and any formal audit should be agreed in the project scope.
What should I put in the project inquiry form?+
Share business details, your website goals, preferred timing, and the services you need. Do not include patient records, clinical histories, passwords, or other sensitive information.
